องค์การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว องค์การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว ซึ่งจัดตั้งขึ้นโดยพระราชกฤษฎีกาจัดตั้งองค์การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว พ.ศ. 2502 นั้น มีหน้าที่ส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ต่อมาอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวได้ขยายตัวอย่างกว้างขวางรวดเร็ว จำเป็นต้องปรับปรุงอำนาจหน้าที่ของ อ.ส.ท. ให้มีขอบเขตการปฏิบัติงานกว้างขวางยิ่งขึ้นทั้งในด้านการพัฒนา อนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรทางการท่องเที่ยว และ การส่งเสริมเผยแพร่ จึงได้มีการนำเสนอร่างพระราชบัญญัติ การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย และ ร่างพระราชบัญญัติจัดระเบียบธุรกิจเกี่ยวกับอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยว เพื่อให้ หน่วยงานการท่องเที่ยวของรัฐ มีอำนาจหน้าที่และรับผิดชอบในการพัฒนาส่งเสริมเผยแพร่ และ ดำเนินกิจการ เพื่อเป็นการริเริ่มให้มีการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยว ตลอดจนคุ้มครองให้ความปลอดภัยแก่นักท่องเที่ยวด้วย สภานิติบัญญัติแห่งชาติซึ่งทำหน้าที่รัฐสภาในการประชุมครั้งที่ 41 วันศุกร์ที่ 20 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2522 ได้พิจารณาร่างพระราชบัญญัติทั้ง 2 ฉบับ แล้วปรากฏว่า ร่างพระราชบัญญัติจัดระเบียบธุรกิจ เกี่ยวกับอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวไม่ผ่านการพิจารณา ส่วนพระราชบัญญัติการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทยได้ผ่านการพิจารณาประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ฉบับพิเศษ เล่มที่ 96 ตอนที่ 72 วันที่ 4 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2522 จัดตั้ง การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย ขึ้น มีชื่อย่อว่า ส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว ส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว

ศรีพันวา Sri Panwa Phuket Reviews : We enjoyed a 4 day/3 night stay at the end of our Phuket holiday. As we drove ourselves we can not comment on airport pick up or drop off. We booked the resort through Kiwi Collection and got a very good deal with a villa upgrade. All correspondence with the hotel was excellent. We were warmly greeted with a cold drink and towel and shown to our fantastic private pool villa.

As soon as you stop through the double doors you are greeted with a fantastic sea view. On the right was our very spacious bedroom and master bathroom. On the left was our lounge/kitchen/extra toilet, shower and closet. The pool ran the length of the villa and had excess from every room. The decor is quite funky in shades of sand, brown and orange. Looks so good at night with romantic lighting.

The kitchen is small with not much in the way of utensils/dishes, but if you needed something we just asked and in no time it was provided by either our butler or housekeeping.
